Rede is a company founded in 1938 and since then its expansion has continued. Throughout the years, the brand has conquered both the Italian market and the international one. But first, Rede is a family, born from Mario and Carla and grown with the other members of their family and the great commitment of its employees.
Rede is distributed on the entire Italian territory, and this market represents about the 80% of share of total production – considering both Rede and RED brands.
Since 1996 Rede is recognized with the quality and ecotex GOTS (Global textile irganic standard) certifications, further highlighting its commitment in offering quality products that are also environmentally friendly.
1938
THE BEGINNING
When he was only 27 years old, Mario Re Depaolini founded his company in the premises of al old spinning mill in Prabiago (near Milano), creating the first female socks with Rede brand. By his side, there is his young partner, Carla Musazzi. The company then moved to a more spacious location in order to accommodate the increasing production needs.
40s/50s
A FAMILY CHALLENGE
In 1944 Mario and Carla get married. At this time, the company has reached the size of a proper factory and the growth continues. Mario travels the world to discover innovations in the textile field and gets in contact with foreign manufacturers. While Rede lands on US and European markets, the production widens to nylon and wool, adding new textiles to their offer while maintaining its quality standards.
60s

THE FUTURE IS HERE
The new millennium begins with the birth of the Redepaolini brand, linked to new fashion trends. In these years, the great-grandchildren of Carla, Giovanni and Michele, also joined the company, combining the management of the company with a new sensitivity towards the present, in which research, style and advertising are based on an open dialogue between the company and the public.
2011
RED IS THE NEW BLACK
In 2011 the RED brand is established, an icon of style and innovation. The company offers a disruptive men's and women's collection, with colorful patterns and textures taken from the company's historical archive. An advertising campaign is launched on the main Italian magazines.
2019
RED UNDERWATER
The company launches a new line of men's swimwear called Red Underwater. The line features a series of products with patterns taken from the brand's distinctive collection. A social campaign is launched with important collaborations with reference influencers.
